School Principal Support in Teacher Professional Development

Turkish education system has enacted a vision of 2023 which emphasizes that school principals create and organize professional learning activities based on the needs students teachers. This research aimed to evaluate this by determining level support provided in teachers' development. It was cross-sectional survey design quantitative method. The data collected from 4,729 teachers working Sanliurfa province Turkey were analyzed. results suggested supported development occasionally only 25.5% sufficiently. School mostly followed relevant resources inform about innovations related education. In addition, did not adequately perform may teacher such as individual group programs, organizing monitoring form for teachers, educational outside seminar period, receiving enough help experts area, giving reading tasks. also indicated high their more than primary secondary schools, classroom male female branch teachers’ any difference perceptions
